Background: Julia’s interest in Right Use of Power™ rests on a deep desire to help people feel whole-hearted, powerful, resilient, and connected. In addition to being a facilitator for Right Use of Power™, Julia is a faculty member at the Body Therapy Institute, where she teaches Somatic Psychology and Therapeutic Communication, a teacher-in-training for the Hakomi Institute, and an assistant facilitator for Passion and Presence® Couple’s Retreats. 

Julia is a Certified Hakomi Therapist, a NC Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist (#2123), and an ABMP Certified Somatic Therapist. Her private practice, based in Hillsborough, NC, specializes in Hakomi Therapy and other somatic healing arts, helping people restore a sense of embodiment, ease, and aliveness.
