Background: Reynold Ruslan “Ren” Feldman is a retired university professor of English and administrator (academic director, dean, and vice president) with a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in English from Yale. He also has experience as a nonprofit administrator, consultant, and fundraiser. For the first half of 2012, he was a volunteer teacher along with his wife, Dr. Cedar Barstow, at a private school in Indonesian Central Borneo. The author of six published books on wisdom and interfaith relations and the editor of two more, he also edits graduate and academic papers and tutors students in writing. In 2013, he published a book for the general public with his wife on Right Use of Power, Living in the Power Zone. He most recently co-authored with Sophia Walder-Hoge a new book titled Beyond the Three R's: Learning the Basics We Really Need for Living. He has studied twelve languages and currently uses six on a regular basis. To date, Ren has co-facilitated several Right Use of Power™ workshops with Dr. Barstow and continues his work with the Institute as a Board Member.
