Dr. Reynold Ruslan ("Ren") Feldman, Ph.D.
RUPI Consultant
A retired university professor, dean, and academic vice president, Ren has three degrees—B.A., M.A., and Ph.D.—from Yale, all in English Language and Literature. Besides working at universities, Ren has served as a program consultant for large foundations, been development and executive directors of several nonprofits, and has raised nearly $4 million for a variety of organizations and causes. Most recently, he has completed his eleventh book, Wisdom for Living—Learning to Follow Your Inner Guidance, co-authored with Sharon Clark, and published in 2019. Although most of his books concern practical wisdom and character development, he co-authored Living in the Power Zone—How Right Use of Power Can Transform Your Relationships (2013) with his wife, RUPI Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Cedar Barstow. He is an Advanced Right Use of Power™ Teacher, a guild member and patron, and serves as RUPI's Board Secretary. A multi-linguist, he is polishing his 7th language, Chinese, to help bring RUPI to China. He is an enthusiastic co-developer of RUPI's Be Power Positive movement (BePoP), which he believes can become a public-health vaccine against the epidemic of wrong uses of power by too many of today's leaders at all levels. He continues to raise money for BePoP's Annual Awards, given to individuals and organizations demonstrating positive uses of power in the world. BePop's Annual Awards intend to grow the global public's awareness of RUPI's Be PowerPositive movement (BePop) as a significant force for positive socioeconomic change.
